Teaching Courses
The Discipline of Health Promotion at NUi Galway is attached to the Colleges of i) Medicine, Nursing and Health Science, ii) Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies and iii) Science.
The Discipline is the only one of its kind in Ireland and was established in 1990 with the support of the Department of Health as part of a revised National Structure for Health Promotion. Its brief is twofold: to develop training and education courses in the field of health promotion and to carry out relevant research.
