Profile
Siobhán O'Higgins is a graduate of the Department of Social Science, Nottingham University, Post Graduate Diploma in Criminological Studies, D.I.T., Masters in Health Promotion, National University of Ireland Galway. She has been involved in research and teaching with the Health Promotion Department since 2002. Siobhan is a Sexual Health Promoter working with schools and other groups since 1990. As well as teaching and research within the University Siobhán facilitates 'Flirting, Dating & Relating’ workshops as part of the "Mind Body & Soul' programme run by Student Services in NUI, Galway as well as having developed and facilitating the training of volunteers for the WILL U? health promotion peer outreach programme. Siobhán is also a lay member on Mental Health Tribunals for the Mental Health Commission.
She is currently pursuing a PhD in Positive Sexual Health with a scholarship from the Office of the Minister of Children.
