The Student Health Service provides on-campus medical and psychiatric care to full time registered students of the University in a confidential, professional and courteous manner. We provide an acute illness service and are not intended as a replacement for your own general practitioner.

	Emergency Hours Out of Hours Service: Monday-Thursday (after 6.00 p.m.) contact Dr. Donal Curtis, 091-582600 or Dr. Donal O'Beirne, 091-583268
Appointments: We do not do appointments, a walk in triage clinic is available daily at 9.15 am and 2.30 pm with initial assessment by the nurse and referral into the doctor if necessary. It is not possible to book an appointment via email or on-line. Contact: 091-492604. Emergencies If you are acutely ill on the day, your problem may initially be assessed by a nurse and if necessary seen by the doctor as soon as is possible. For appointments outside opening hours, in the evenings or at weekends please see our out of hours arrangements at Emergency out of hours service.
Confidentiality: All consultations are completely confidential, and will only be revealed to others with your consent. Your medical notes are also confidential and remain in the Student Health Department. They do not form part of your academic file.
