Policy Statement - The Search Procedure

Identifying potential members of staff and encouraging these prospective candidates to apply for positions within the University are powerful recruitment tools and are widely used in academic recruitment by Universities. This is particularly so where the University is concerned to enhance its standing and international reputation by attracting particular candidates. In such circumstances the search procedure will be carried out in tandem with public advertisement.
