Information on Getting to Galway

Arriving in Dublin by plane

Airport/Bus/Train Station

Buses leave Dublin Airport approximately every 20 minutes for the Central Bus Station (Busárus). Many of the airport buses continue to Heuston Railway Station, from which trains for Galway depart (see Travel by Train below).

Travelling from Dublin to Galway

Travel by Air

Depart from Dublin Airport. Use transit desk for connections with flights to Galway Airport (Carnmore) which is 15 minutes by taxi from Galway city. Taxi fare is approximately approx  € 12.00 -  € 15.00.  There is no public transport from Galway Airport.

Travel by Bus

Bus Éireann - National bus service

Departs from Busárus Bus Station, Dublin - Arrives in Victoria Place, Galway bus Station. Approximate timetable (Monday to Friday) is as follows:
Depart Dublin: Every hour form 8:00am - 8:00pm
Fare:  approximately € 14.00 single and € 18.00 return.  (journey takes 4 hours)
