Prof. Martin O'Donnell

Biography 
 

Martin O’Donnell has been newly appointed as Professor of Translational Medicine at NUI Galway and Associate Director of the CRFG. Graduated from University College Cork, he trained in Geriatric and Stroke medicine in Ireland, McMaster University (Canada) and Stanford University (US). He holds a PhD from the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, McMaster University. He is Director of an upcoming MSc in Clinical Research at NUIG, being run in collaboration with McMaster University (Expected start date: Sept 2010)

His main areas of research interests are clinical trials in Vascular medicine and Stroke Epidemiology

Current Projects:

He is Principal Investigator of an international case-control study of stroke ( INTERSTROKE).
