Alexis is a Doctoral Fellow at the Irish Centre for Human Rights. Her PhD research focuses on physical security of refugees and Internally Displaced Persons in militarized camp environments. She is a case reporter for the Oxford Reports on International Criminal Law (ORICL) for Oxford University Press. Alexis previously worked at the University of Iowa Center for Human Rights on issues related to mass atrocities and research on the ideological and political origins of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights. Alexis worked on various issues related to landmines with the Cambodian Mine Action Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She has also worked with various NGOs dealing with sexual trafficking and child labour in the U.S., India and Cambodia, and is currently researching cases of domestic migrant workers on behalf of Mafiwasta.
