Biography:
Jenny has worked as a writer, actor and short film director in Ireland and New York.
She has had work commissioned and funded by the BBC, RTE, Arts Council of Ireland, Irish Film Board and various production companies.
Her short films Butterflies & Bees, Thursdays Child and New York Ladies have screened at Film Festivals in Ireland, UK, US, Canada and Australia.
Butterflies & Bees took second place at Galway Film Fleadh 2000 and won the audience award at the Celtic Film Festival, Toronto 2001.
Her short fiction has been published in Thicker Than Water- a Random House anthology of short fiction, and a Sunday Tribune Anthology of New Irish Writing.
She has been shortlisted for the BBC NI Tony Doyle Bursary, the Fish Short Story Prize and the Sunday Tribune New Irish Writing Award.
As an actress she has worked in film, TV and stage in Ireland and New York. She has also worked as a TV presenter, freelance arts journalist, script assistant and stage manager at the National Theatre of Ireland.
She has taught screenwriting in the Huston since 2006, and is currently developing a number of feature film scripts.
