As a graduate of NUI Galway, you are automatically a member of the NUI Galway Alumni community. We aim to keep you updated with the successes and achievements of our alumni worldwide through our social media pages, events and Cois Coiribe, a annual magazine for alumni & friends of NUI Galway. You may like to network at our many events throughout the year or reconnect with your former classmates at your reunion.
See below information on how to access the James Hardiman Library and how to give something back to your alma mater by becoming a mentor or through giving to the Alumni Fund.
Reconnect with your former classmates! We can help you organise your 10th, 20th, 25th, 30th & 40th Anniversary Reunions on or off campus. We also organise these reunions by your college. Please contact us for upcoming dates. At these reunion events, you have a chance to catch up with friends and classmates and see all the new developments on campus since your student days here. We also provide a tour of the wonderful archives in the Hardiman Building and organise a visit to any of the old buildings you may have had your lectures in and the new centres of excellence on our north and south campus. For more information, please contact us or click here for more information.
The 50th Anniversary Reunion takes place in May each year. Please contact us for further information on your upcoming celebration.
Read about your fellow alumni here. Your annual alumni magazine ‘Cois Coiribe” is published to keep graduates connected and up to date on University, alumni news and developments.
Alumni are entitled to a free lifetime access to the James Hardiman Library. Should you wish to borrow books, the alumni fees are listed here. The Library will require a letter from the alumni relations office to confirm that you are graduate. Please visit us in the Gate Lodge on University Road to obtain this.
Career and Mentoring
We assist in general queries from our alumni on a day to day basis post-graduation and offer career support through the Career Development Centre. The centre aims to provide students of NUI Galway with a quality career guidance and an information service focused on facilitating and empowering students and graduates to manage their career development and make effective career transitions. For more information, please contact the Careers Development Centre.
We are now offering mentoring through our MentorPitch programme, a cloud based university platform built to manage, measure and delivering mentoring programmes to our alumni. For more information, contact Aisling at 091-494310.
The Alumni Fund plays a significant role in the advancement of NUI Galway's strategic priorities by funding both capital and programmatic projects. We hope, that as a graduate, you will support our efforts to further enhance the reputation of your alma mater as a pioneering University with a reputation of international standing.
If there is any project you would like to specifically support through the Alumni Fund, please don't hesitate to email us or telephone +353 91 495497.
