The Information Solutions and Services Department provides a comprehensive range of ICT services for students and staff at NUI Galway. The department is aware of the dependency which the University community has on ICT services and the need to continue to develop these services. The department was created in October 2009 following the merger of Computer Services and Management Information Services.
The structure of the department reflects the two major objectives of the department.
The departments approach to service development and delivery is based on ICT industry best practice (ITIL for service management and PRINCE2 for project management). The department is actively implementing aspects of ITIL and PRINCE in order to improve our ability to meet customer requirements.
The website provides information on how to access and use these services. We hope that customers can use the website as a quick and easy method of answering queries. If you do not find what you are looking for on the website, then please call or email the Service Desk. We welcome feedback from students/staff on any aspect of the services which we provide. You can do this by contacting the Service Desk.
I would like to remind all staff/students of their responsibilities when using University ICT resources. Please take the time to read the Code of Conduct and ICT Regulations to ensure you are compliant.
I welcome feedback which you have on our services and can be contacted by phone (091 493607) or email. I look forward to hearing from you.
