Known Issue for web-based staff email (Outlook Web Access)

Users of the staff email service (Exchange 2003) are advised that an issue exists whereby staff using web-based email (https://staffmail.nuigalway.ie and https://www.mis.nuigalway.ie/exchange) are unable to open attachments from correspondents who send from StudentMail or from Outlook 2011 for Macintosh.

ISS advise that this is a known incompatibility. To workaround this issue, staff should access email using a supported email client (Microsoft 2003/2007 for Windows users, Entourage 2004/2008 for Macintosh users, Evolution for Linux users).

An ISS project is currently underway to upgrade the staff email service to Exchange 2010 during 2012 which will resolve this issue for all users.
