How to use a CD Writer on a Staff PC

1.  Select '  from under 'All Programs' -> 'Nero 7 Premium'.

When you open Nero StartSmart you will see the welcome screen.

2.  Click on the Star icon to bring up the categories list and then click ’Make a Data CD’

3.  The Nero Express Window will briefly appear with 'Data CD' highlighted, followed by the Disc Content window. This is where you select what data you would like to burn.  Click the ’Add’ button on the right of the window. 

This will bring up a browser.  Browse to the folder/file you want to burn to CD and click ’Add’ .

6. You will see the file/folder you selected listed in the disc contents window.  Also, note the CD capacity bar at the bottom of the window.  The capacity of the CD, 650MB, is indicated by the yellow line towards the right of the bar.  You can see from this that you have used approx 100MB (as indicated by the green filled section) of your available 650MB. When you have finishing adding data to your CD, click ’Next’.

7.  On the next Window, simply write a name from your CD in the ’Disc Name’ box and click ’Burn’.
