How do I find out the network connection speed for my Win XP computer? 

1. Click Start  >    Control Panel >   Network Connections 
   
   
   
2. Network Connections window should open. Right Click Local Area Connection and Select Properties.  
   
    
   
   

3. Local Area Connection Properties window will open , click Configure beside the Connect Using.
   
   

4. The General tab, under the Device status window you will see  This device is working properly.
   
   
5. Click Advanced tab, under the Property: window select Speed & Duplex.
   Under the Value: window you will see the speed settings of your machine (e.g. 100Mb Full)
   
   
6. Click OK to exit
