You should purchase the handheld device that best meets your requirements but please keep in mind that Information Solutions and Services can only support devices on the University e-Government Contract CON226 and O2 with a O2 connection for staff.

There are no restrictions on Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) devices accessing the NUIGWiFi network on-campus.

PDA users with Internet access can access their StaffMail or StudentMail account on the device using a web browser.
StudentMail users with a Windows Mobile or ActiveSync device can also synchronize their PDA with one StudentMail mailbox. However, students are advised that Information Solutions and Services cannot provide support for personally-owned computer equipment.

Staff users are advised that Information Solutions and Services can provide only limited, advisory support for PDAs as such devices are outside of the NUI Galway IT Equipment Procurement Contract CON111.
