How can I share a mail folder with others?
- In Outlook, view
Mail
- Right-click
Mailbox –
your name and select
Properties
- Select the Permissions tab, click
Add
- Select the other person to whom you want to give permissions from the Global Address List (GAL) and then click
Add
- Click
OK
- Select the person’s name in the list, and then for
Permission Level, select
Reviewer
- Click
OK
- Right-click the mail folder you want to give the other person permissions to view and then click
Properties
- Select the
Permissions
tab, click
Add
- Select the other person to whom you want to give permissions from the Global Address List (GAL) and then click
Add
- Click
OK
- Select the person’s name in the list, and then for
Permission Level, select
Reviewer
- The steps 8 to 12 needs to be done on each
folder and
sub folder you wish to give Reviewer access too

Note: Reviewer is the most commonly used type of permission and it allows someone to view the mail folder and read the messages only. You can assign various levels of permissions to others e.g. if you want the person to be able to change items, select
Editor.
