How do I open another person’s mail folder?

Note: You can only open another person’s mail folder if they have granted you permissions (see How do I share a mail folder with others?)

1. In Outlook 2007, from the Tools menu, choose  Account Settings
   
   
2. Select the Microsoft Exchange account and then click Change  
   
   
   
3. Click More Settings 
   
   
4. Click the Advanced tab 
   
   
5. Under Mailboxes, click Add
   
   
6. Type the other person’s name. A list of matches from the Global Address List (GAL) will be returned. Select the appropriate name and then click OK
   
   
7. Click OK 
   
   
8. Click Next and then click Finish
   
   
9. Click Close
   
   
10. You may need to quit and restart Outlook for the other person’s mail folder to appear in your Navigation Pane (on the left hand side).

1. Click on the File menu, select Account Settings and then click on Account Settings...
