What is StaffMail?

StaffMail provides NUI, Galway staff with a reliable and secure email service.  It uses Microsoft Exchange server technology. Additional features include calendar-sharing and meeting notices, global address books containing all staff contact details and access from mobile devices ( BlackBerry).

Staff members of NUI, Galway.

How do I access Exchange eMail?

Enter your username and password to access StaffMail (Academic users) / Webmail - MIS users (Administrative staff eMail), via the Internet or through an email client.  

Information Solutions and Services support the following email clients:

• Internet - Outlook Web Access (OWA) 
  OWA is a browser version of Outlook available worldwide
  
  
• Windows users - Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007
  
  
• Macintosh users - Entourage 2004, Entourage 2008

You can get context-based help when viewing your mail on the web by clicking on the Help icon at the top right of the mail screen.

Technical Information

StaffMail is a MAPI-based service. POP/IMAP is not enabled for StaffMail accounts. Currently the only Apple Macintosh email client that supports MAPI is Entourage 2004.
