Student Records (Quercus)

QuercusPlus is the student records system used in NUI Galway. QuercusPlus enables NUI Galway staff to enter and record student data. Quercus Plus from Campus IT is an Oracle Forms based application, running on Oracle Application Server and Oracle 10g database

Prerequisites

1. Obtained Quercus login credentials 
   Authorisation is required from Tara.Leydonnuigalway.ie, Academic Records).
   
   
2. Once authorisation is received, log a ticket in the ISS Service Desk Ticketing System (include your staff ID number and what permissions are required for the use of Quercus).
   Alternatively, if you know a staff member who has the correct permissions then include their staff ID as this way it is easier for the Service Desk staff to set the account up correctly.
   
   
3. Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 is the recommended browser for Student Record Administration (Back Office).
   

If having completed these steps, you still cannot access the system, please contact the ISS Service Desk (ext. 5777, email servicedesknuigalway.ie).

Known Issues

Student Record Administration (Back Office) does not work in the Mozilla Firefox browser or in the Google Chrome browser.

It is recommended that Student Record Administration (Back Office) users do not install the Google Toolbar.
