In order to register a student on a specific course, you will need to know the entire course details and modules/subjects that the student wants to be enrolled on. To practise this what we can do is print a registration statement for a student and this will
show all of the detail needed to register them. Then we de-register them and reregister to see if it all matches back to what we originally had. The following id numbers are samples.
99588447 99598353 00648019
In order to de-register a student from the Quercus menu go to Registration/De-Register.
Choose the session and id number – in our case 99588447. Drill-down to the next level and choose the de-register button on the right-hand side.
The student is now de-registered.
You now need to use the registration statement to register the student back on the course again. This time from the Quercus menu go to Registration/Register Students. Type in the id number 99588447 and choose filter. Then choose register. You now need to click on the Amend Button on the left-hand side.
At this point all of the modules appear on the left-hand side so it is a matter of choosing the correct ones. From the statement, we can choose GK so we tick GK.
It automatically populates the left-hand side of the form with GK and increments the number of credits at level 1 to 30.
We now need to choose AR.
Here we find there is a problem as the total number of credits is accumulating to 50 and not 60. So now we need to go to previous and highlight AR and then choose the amend button from the right-hand side to get some extra optional modules. We choose AR234 and AR228.
We now have the correct number of credits and re-printing the statement will prove that the student is now registered correctly.
By exiting out of that screen we can now use the Curriculum button to check what the student is actually registered on.
By highlighting the code AR on the left-hand side, you can now see that the optional modules are included.
