What is Chime?

Chime is a free browser plug-in from MDL that allows you to interactivly visualise and manipulate molecules in 3D.

• Chime IE6 Plugin has been decommissioned from the PC Suites and is no longer available on campus.

Can I install Chime software on my home computer?

Chime is a free browser plug-in from MDL

1. You must Register at MDL to download Chime.
   ( If you have registered with them in the past, get your password in hand and proceed to the Log in at MDL & Download Chime step.)
2. After you register, MDL will send your password to you immediately by email.
   Record your password in a convenient place. It is difficult to remember and MDL does not let you change it .

Log in at MDL & Download Chime

1. Log in to MDL.
2. From the Downloads menu on the bar near the top, select Download Products.
3. Open the menu Select a Product and choose MDL Chime.
4. Click on the link Windows or Macintosh as appropriate for your computer. (MDL Chime is not available for linux or other platforms.)
5. Click Start Download.
