Yes. NUI, Galway has signed up with Eduserv/CHEST  for a site licence agreement with a renewal date of 30-Sep.

How can I get MapInfo Pro software for my computer?

  The MapInfo Pro installation CD is available to borrow.  Please email servicedesknuigalway.ie to borrow a copy of the installation CD.
  
  MapInfo Pro is available to postgraduate researchers for on-campus use only i.e. researchers who have a desktop computer linked to the campus network (excluding wireless connections). Please email servicedesknuigalway.ie  to borrow a copy of the installation CD.

  To install software on your machine you must login as an administrator
  If you borrow MapInfo Pro software, you are obliged to sign a copyright acknowledgement form.
  

Can I install MapInfo Pro software on my home computer?

Yes. Under the Chest General Licence Conditions, staff/students are entitled to run a copy of their institution's licensed software on their home machine for the normal business of the Institution. The MapInfo Pro installation CD is available to borrow, please email servicedesknuigalway.ie
