Convert Word 2007 to Word 2003

If you are using Office 2007 you should save your document in Save as type: Word 97-2003 Document (as shown below).  This will allow you to view/edit your Word 2007 documents in Word 2003 which is installed on all  PC Suites.

Microsoft Compatibility Pack 

If you can not open Office 2007 files you need to install the Microsoft  Compatibility Pack, note that the Compatibility Pack is installed in all PC Suites. 

Microsoft have provided information on how to open and save Word 2007, Excel 2007, and PowerPoint 2007 files in earlier versions of Office programs. 

Open Word 2007 Document in the PC Suites

To open a Word 2007 document in the PC Suites select  File > Open > in Files of Type select Word 2007 Document (*.docx) as seen below

Your Word 2007 document will now open in Word 2003. 

You can now save this document as Word 2003.  Select File > Save As > in Files of Type select Word Document (*.doc) as seen below.
