What is Firefox?

Mozilla Firefox is a web is a free web browser managed by the Mozilla Corporation.   Firefox uses the open-source Gecko layout engine, which implements current Web standards plus a few features which are intended to anticipate likely additions to the standards.  Firefox runs on various versions of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

  To install software on your machine you must be login as an administrator
  

  Instructions to install Firefox (Macintosh users)

1. Go to http://www.getfirefox.com/ and choose to download the appropriate file for your Mac OS.  
2. Double-click on the DMG file to expand it and accept the license. 
3. Double-click on the Firefox icon which has been expanded.  Then drag the Firefox icon to the Macintosh HD.   
4. Open the Macintosh HD and drag the Firefox icon to the System Dock  
5. The first time Firefox is started you will be asked if you wish to import Internet settings from Internet Explorer or Safari. For accessing PAC, it is recommended that you use Firefox so there is no need to import Internet settings. Please choose NOT to import.

Note for PAC users: When you log onto the PAC system, the first time you click on the scanned documents, you will be asked what you would like to do with this file. It is recommended that you select to Open file with Preview, (this is the option which is selected by default).  The scanned documents will then open in preview.
