Known Issues

Some Spybot-S&D users on-campus at NUI Galway may experience technical difficulties due to the particular network setting for some desktop computer connections. To resolve this issue, check that the following settings are configured in Spybot-S&D.

1. Open Spybot-S&D
   
   
2. From the  Mode menu, click Advanced Menu
   Click Yes when warning dialog box appears
   
   
3. Click Settings in the left hand column
   
   
4. From the Settings menu, click Settings
   
   
5. Scroll down to Web Update
   Un-Tick Use proxy to connect to update server
   
   
6. Click OK
   
   
7. From the  Mode menu, click Default
   
   
8. Click Updates button and follow on-screen instructions to update definitions.
