Staff leaving NUI Galway

When a staff member leaves NUI Galway, they are no longer entitled to use their Campus Account Login. This account will be disabled 120 days after the end date of their contract.

All staff members will be notified by email to say that their account will expire in 120 days. Once you receive this email we recommend you complete the following:-

Before a staff member leaves NUI, Galway

1. Notify email correspondents that your email address will soon be inactive and provide an alternative email address
   
   
2. Set and Out of Office on your email account to say you no longer work at NUI, Galway and provide alternate contact details
   
   
3. If required, you can save a copy of your Staff eMail messages using Microsoft Outlook. If Microsoft Outlook is not available to you, an alternative is to forward any required messages to another email account
   
   
4. Save files stored on your U: drive, it is recommended that you copy these files to a USB key or CD.
   

Staff Retiring from the University

Your account will not be expired. However we recommend that you set an Out of Office message on your NUI, Galway email account.
