You must have the Adobe Flash plugin installed to view the online campus map. A new map label contains a text area for a header and a small description. Once the label has been setup on the map, a link can be setup from your Web site to the campus map, in the form
http://www.nuigalway.ie/campus_map/?id='{Id of Label}'. You need to know the X and Y coordinates of your location on the map to request a new label, calculate this using our
coordinate calculator. To add a new map label or change map details on the online campus map, log a ticket with the

An RSS file is a text file in XML (extensible markup language) format which can be read by any machine, regardless of its operating system. RSS has become a standard for sharing information between websites across the web. This add-on allows you to display the contents of an RSS feed on your web page in a human readable format. A demonstration allows you to view examples of RSS feeds. To use this add-on follow the RSS Reader guides on how to use on your Web page. See Helpdesk FAQ no. 100 (for internal viewing only).

Web site administrators can create an online-survey using our survey framework. The framework gives you the ability to build a survey to meet your specific requirements. Survey results are stored in a semi-colon separated file that can be manually importing into MS Access, MS Excel, SPSS, etc. The framework also allows you to view collated results online. There is no graphical administration interface for this framework, knowledge of HTML and very basic PHP is required to create and maintain surveys. An
example survey has been created to illustrate the capabilities of the system. You can also
view collated results for this survey. Request a survey by logging a ticket with the

This system presents end users with tutorial booking information which they can sign up to, on a first come, first served basis. Administrator must initially configure the system by entering course and related details. Students can only sign up for one tutorial per course and only between set dates. Courses remain visible on the system even after the sign-up deadline, allowing lecturers to put notes, for example “Tutorial cancelled this week”. Tutorials disappear when they reach their end date. The administrator has the ability to view all tutorial bookings and if necessary, move people between tutorials. He or she can also download the information as a comma separated file for import into MS Access or MS Excel. Request this add-on by logging a ticket with the
Service Desk (Tel. x5777 eMail
