How to Copy to CD using Nero Express
In order to copy files to CD, the PC must have a CD Writer and Nero Express software installed. Computers with CD Writers are widely available in PC Suites. Search for CD writer availability
online.
Types of CD
There are two types of writable CDs available, each with a capacity of 700Mb.
- CD-R discs
You can copy files to CD-R only once.
You cannot erase files that have been written to CD-R.
- CD-RW discs
· You can copy files to CD-RW multiple times
· You can erase files on CD-RWs and reuse the discs.
Copying data files to a CD using Nero Express
- Double-click on the Nero Express icon in the Application Explorer window
Insert a writable CD in the drive Insert a writable CD in the drive.
- Create a Data Disc. Select
Data, then
Data Disc
- Select the files that you want to copy to CD Click
Add.
Choose which files to copy to CD e.g. from the U: drive. Click Add after each selection, or drag and drop files into this window. Click
Finished
and
Next

Copy your files to CD. You can specify a name in
Disc Name. Check that
Allow files to be added later is ticked. Click
Burn.

Burning Process
The "Burning Process" of copying files to CD may take a few minutes.

Finish and Exit.
A dialog box will appear when it has completed successfully. Click
OK.
Click
Next and the disc will be ejected from the drive. Click
Exit.
Your files have now been copied to CD. You will be given the option to save these
settings to a project. This is only necessary if you wish to copy the same files to CD again.
In general, click
No
to exit Nero Express.
Please check the CD to ensure that you can now read the newly copied files sucessfully.
