Getting Started |
Once registered at NUI Galway, each student is automatically assigned a Campus Account and StudentMail account.
Campus Account provides access using a single User ID and Password to the PC Suites, NUIGWiFi, Blackboard, Library Systems, Self-Service Registration, MyCampus, Placement, Exam timetable and Exam results.
A Campus Account will provide student access to all computing services (other than email *)
How do I get a Campus Account and Password? |
You need to activate your Campus Account, you can do this by going online to https://cass.nuigalway.ie/ and use the following credentials:

What is my Activation Password? |
Your Activation Password is a temporary password which allows you to activate your Campus Account
How do I login to a computer in the University? |
Login to the computers in the University with you student ID and campus password
Why can't I login to the computer? |
Ensure that you are typing in your student ID number as your User ID.
Ensure that you are typing in your password correctly.
If the steps above do not work, restart the computer and attempt to login again. Finally, try to login to a different computer.If you still cannot login, please visit the Service Desk. Remember to bring your NUI, Galway student ID card.

Can I use wireless on-campus? |
Yes. A campus-wide wireless network called NUIGWiFi is available to staff and students
What happens to my computer account if I take a leave of absence? |
If your have formally notified your School and your registration status is changing to “Leave of Absence” on the University Student Record system, then your access to computing services (including email) will be disabled when your registration status changes on the student record system.
What happens to my computer account after I leave NUI,Galway? |
After Graduation the Campus Accounts of students (both undergraduate and postgraduate) that are not listed as registered with the University in the Student Record System will be disabled. Six months after the Campus Accounts have been disabled they will be removed from the system.
