How do I switch on my wireless card?

Often there is a button on the laptop case with an antenna or radio wave symbol. Otherwise, there may be a slider switch located at the side of the laptop case. When the wireless card is active, there is often an icon that is illuminated usually located near the power and hard drive symbols.

Key combinations to switch on wireless

• Dell computers: Fn+F2
  
  Hewlett Packard computers: Fn+F4 
  
  Packard Bell computers: Fn+F1. The symbol is like an inverted triangle with a line through it,
  
  Another key combination that may work is Fn+F8
