Remote Access to IT Services for Staff

Staff can access the following University IT Services off-campus by using their Campus Account * credentials:

Note: * Agresso and Quercus credentials are separate to your Campus Account credentials

Web-based SSL VPN 

NUI Galway provides a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service to allow staff to make a secure encrypted connection to the NUI Galway network from a remote location i.e. home or abroad. The following services are available from the MyFiles Service via a supported Web Browser. 

 Client-based SSL VPN

The following systems will require a VPN client:

  • Agresso Back Office
  • Core Back Office
  • Quercus Back Office
  • Exam Modelling Tool
  • Oracle Discoverer Reporting Services
  • All other applications installed on a personal device
