ANSYS CFX

ANSYS‌CFX is a commercial Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) program, used to simulate fluid flow in a variety of applications. The ANSYS CFXproduct allows engineers to test systems in a virtual environment. The scalable program has been applied to the simulation of water flowing past ship hulls, gas turbine engines (including the compressors, combustion chamber, turbines and afterburners), aircraft aerodynamics, pumps, fans, HVAC systems, mixing vessels, hydrocyclones, vacuum cleaners, and more.

    ANSYS CFX offer a student edition available for purchase  

  • Staff  
    ANSYS CFX is available for on-campus use only. Please contact the Service Desk to borrow a copy of the installation CD. Alternatively request access via our Software Self Service option.

    ANSYS CFX is available to postgraduate researchers for on-campus use only i.e. researchers who have a desktop computer linked to the campus network (excluding wireless connections). Please contact the Service Desk to borrow a copy of the installation CD. Alternatively request access via our Software Self Service option.
