SPSS Borrow Licence
Borrowing an SPSS Licence
N.B This procedure involves borrowing a licence from the University's licence server. This means that when checking out a licence you must do it from within the campus network.
1. Delete the "LSHOST" environment variable if present. You can check this on a Windows machine, by Right-Clicking 'My Computer' and selecting 'Properties'. Navigate to the 'Advanced' tab and open the 'Environment Variables' button. Check under User Variables or System Variables for the LSHOST environment variables, if found, delete it.
2. Launch SPSS Commuter Licence utility from the Start Menu:
You can also change the amount of days for which you want to borrow the licence. The maxiumum amount is 7 days. Select your version of SPSS and click on checkout:
On returning to the University network, you may check in the licence:
