Entrepreneurs at NUI,G

A group of our 4th year IT students has once again won a merit award of 2000 euro at the National Entrepreneurship awards. This is now an all-Ireland competition and the award puts them in the top 10 in the country. The group are Gerard Cahill, Alan Cunningham, Patrick Hogan and Niall O Grady. Their Business Plan idea was a MMOG (Massively Multiplayer Online Game) for the new Nintendo Wii game console. They had previously won the best Business Plan Award for 4th yr BScIT sponsored by the Dept. They received their National award at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Kildare Street, Dublin 2 on Wed Jun 6th. The Entrepreneurship lecturer was Dr. Hugh Melvin.
