The Institutional Research Office gathers student-related data in order to understand student trends and explore patterns over recent years which ultimately leads to improved practices put in place to enhance the students' experience in University of Galway.

  • University of Galway student numbers; show the student trends enrolling on programmes in the various fields of study, the different programme levels ranging from Postgraduate to Undergraduate and Certificate to Doctorate level; the demographics of the student's trends in relation to age, gender and nationality profiles.

  • Irish Institution student numbers: The Higher Education Authority,   provides a vast source of information at an Irish Institutional level regarding the various student trends, such as enrolment data, graduate data, socio-economic data on the HEA portal. The HEA also publishes a Key performance Indicator dashboard, which highlights a measurement of  a number of KPI metrics across all Irish Institutions in meeting six  key objectives;
