after you arrive: registration

• A Visiting Student is a student of another University, admitted to NUI Galway to undertake a programme of study, normally for one year or one semester. If you are attending NUI Galway on a Study Abroad or Erasmus programme, you are a Visiting Student.

• A Full Degree Undergraduate Student is a student who is taking their entire Bachelor degree at NUI Galway.

• A Postgraduate Student is a student taking a Graduate Diploma, Masters or PhD level programme at NUI Galway

Visiting and Erasmus Student Registration

Visiting and Erasmus Students do not have to register pre-arrival.  Registration documentation will be available for collection at the Orientation Session on the 2nd September, 2010.  Registration for courses will take place approximately 10 days after arrival and students will be given further details about Course Selection at the Orientation Session.

Visiting students will be emailed their Personal ID Number and Password to the email address on their application forms at the end of July. 

Please submit a passport sized photo by email to reghelpnuigalway.ie on or before the 14 ^th August, 2010.  The photo should be saved as studentname_idnumber.jpeg (i.e. joebloggs_89008890.jpg).  Students who do not submit a photo will not receive an ID Card at Orientation.
