Daniel Coakley
Bio:
Daniel Coakley graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2009 with a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering. He has worked with a number of large engineering consultancies, including TMA Consulting Engineers, Jacob’s Engineering, and RPS Group, on projects such as residential and commercial building design, road design, as well as large-scale port and marine energy projects.
In 2009, he was awarded a scholarship from the College of Engineering and Informatics at NUI, Galway to pursue a PhD under the supervision of Dr. Padraig Molloy. His research is currently focussed on the calibration of detailed Building Energy Simulation (BES) models to hourly measured data using a statistical optimisation approach.
