Ignacio torrens

Bio:

Ignacio Torrens is a graduate of the Escuela Superior de Ingenieria, University of Cadiz (UCA) where he obtained a BEng Mechanical and an MSc Industrial Organisation Engineering. He worked for eighteen months in Digavasa (Cadiz, Spain) as a technical engineer designing modular buildings. Following this, He worked in Aairbus and EADS as a process engineer for a year.

Awarded with a Leonardo European grant in March 2008 he then worked in Millipore, Cork (Ireland) for 3 months. He is currently a PhD candidate in the ITOBO research group under the supervision of Dr. Marcus Keane and funded by SFI, at the National University of Ireland, Galway.

His research work focuses on the identification of building specific energy benchmarks as a key support to operational performance assessment for building/energy managers.
