Magdalena Hajdukiewicz is a graduate of Wroclaw University of Technology where she obtained a Masters of Civil Engineering. The topic of her dissertation was "Technological and economic analysis of the thermo-modernisation of a large residential block". She worked for six months in the Duffy Chartered Engineers in Dundalk as a structural engineer designing timber frame structures in Ireland and UK. Following this, she completed her PhD (2009-2013) as part of the
NEMBES project, under the supervision of
Dr. Marcus Keane at the NUI Galway. The topic of her PhD thesis was
'Formal calibration methodology relating to CFD models of naturally
ventilated internal environments'.
Currently,
Magdalena is working on a postdoctoral fellowship scheme funded by the
Irish Research Council and Oran Pre-Cast Ltd. The overall aim of this
project is to examine the influence of advanced structural building
component properties on built environments.
