General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, is a new set of data protection laws that will replace the existing data protection framework and will be enforcable across all EU member states from 25th May 2018. GDPR will change the way individuals and organisations handle personal data. The Data Protection Commissioner, who is tasked with overseeing compliance of this Regulation in Ireland, has developed the site gdprandyou.ie to help individuals and organisations prepare for this change.
