Eilis Barry B.L. is Legal Adviser to the Equality Authority and Head of the Legal Section. Prior to joining the Equality Authority she practiced as a barrister for 15 years, specializing in employment and discrimination cases, appearing in many equality cases before the Irish Courts. She was a regular contributor on employment issues to the Irish Law Times and was Editor of the Employment Law Reports for a number of years. She was a Director of the Free Legal Advice Centres for 15 years. She is the co-editor of Equality in Diversity, The new Equality Directives ICEL No 29.
