Anne Egan is a graduate of National University of Ireland, Galway where she was awarded a B.A in Legal Studies, Sociology and Politics in 2003 and LL.B in 2004. She completed her PhD in 2008 on “The Rights and Responsibilities of Fathers in Irish Family Law”. She was a tutor in the Faculty of Law from 2004-2006 and lectured part-time in Family Law in 2007-2008. She also has completed a Certificate in Part 1 Mediation training accredited to the Mediators Institute of Ireland. Anne was awarded a postgraduate certificate in Teaching and Learning in 2009 and will graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma in Academic Practice with the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching, NUI, Galway. Anne is a member of the NUIG-UL research network Gender ARC (Advanced Research Consortium on Gender, Culture and the Knowledge Society).
