To mark the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome establishing the European Economic Community, the Law Faculty at NUI Galway will host a one-day conference. The objective is to critically discuss the transformation of the European Community/European Union since 1957 with an emphasis on the institutional and substantive aspects of this transformation.
This conference is generously supported by ‘the Communicating Europe Initiative’ of the Department of Foreign Affairs. The Faculty of Law is also grateful for the support of NUI Galway's Millennium Fund, the Irish Society for European Law, the European Parliament Office in Ireland and Mr. John Coyle.

Reservations: The Conference is open to all and is free of charge. To reserve your place please download this form. A participation fee of €20.00 is required for those wishing to have lunch with the speakers.
