Laser Technology and Applications:

This 3 day course features a significant amount of laboratory-based demonstrations.
The objective of this course is to develop the trainee’s knowledge of a variety of laser sources & optical systems, learn about the different lasers capabilities for varying applications and the laser processing of a selection of materials. The course is designed to develop laser expertise so that course attendees will be able to innovate and not just replicate with laser technologies.

Laser Safety in the Workplace:

This course is aimed at personnel who use lasers, or are responsible for the safe use of lasers, in their workplace. The course will be of particular relevance to Safety Officers, Engineers and Technicians.

Basics of Laser System Engineering:

The objective of this course is to develop the trainee’s knowledge of a laser systems and how they should be set up.   This course gives a detailed overview of the components of a laser system and explains how to measure beam properties and characterize the system.  This course features laboratory-based demonstration of beam alignment and optics cleaning.

An Introduction to Optics and Optical Systems:

This two-day course is designed to provide an understanding of the basic principles of optics and optical systems for engineers and managers in industry and support agencies who may not have a background in optics. No prior knowledge of optics is required but it is recommended that attendees have a basic training in science or engineering.
