A major means of introducing our Marketing graduates to business is through the MSc (Marketing Practice) Programme. Devised in 1981, it is a means of bridging the academic programme with hands-on business experience. Approximately thirty Marketing graduates are placed in carefully selected businesses where a detailed job description specifing where the graduate is expected to apply theory in practice. In addition to course work in the University, the Discipline manages the progress of each participant and supports them as necessary. Following completion of the MSc (Marketing Practice) Programme, over 90% of graduates are retained in their companies.
MSc (Strategic Marketing) is offered on a full time taught basis. Gaining the MSc (Strategic Marketing) will enable candidates to build successful marketing management careers in a wide variety of industry sectors and organisations including pharmaceutical companies, publishing companies, banks, consumer products companies and business-to-business. A growing trend is the utilisation of marketing by social and non-profit organisations. Colleges, art organisations, libraries and hospitals are increasingly beginning to hire marketing professionals to manage their diverse marketing activities.
