Professor John Hinde

John Hinde is Professor of Statistics at NUIG and works on the methodology, computation and application of statistical modelling.

He is a co-author of the recently published book Statistical Modelling in R.

He was recently Chair of the Local Organising Committee for the International Biometric Conference IBC2008 in Dublin and Peter MacDonald's pictures from the meeting can be seen here.

He has had a long and active involvment with the Statistical Modelling Society and was one of the founding Editors of the journal Statistical Modelling.

He is also Past President of the Irish Statistical Association.
