NPML estimation in R
This web site contains R code (and documentation) for the fitting of overdispersed generalized linear models or variance component models with Gaussian quadrature (GQ) or Nonparametric maximum likelihood (NPML). In the special case that no covariates are specified, this reduces to fitting exponential family mixture models.
With version 0.30, the first 'real' package is provided (i.e. a file in *.tar.gz form that would pass R CMD check), and the package name changed from
npml to
npmlreg.
From version 0.40 on, new versions are
only
available on
CRAN
!!! The
record of updates and changes
will be maintained.

The R functions
alldist and
allvc
contained in this package are based on the homonymous GLIM 4 functions. Translated to R and further extended by Jochen Einbeck, Ross Darnell, and John Hinde (2006). The work was supported by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI).
