    Semester 1 Events

    These events are for Mature Students to come meet with the Mature Students Officer and support each other.  One to one appoinments with the Officer will be arranged for you and you will be invited to meet once per semester. By appointment other times can be arranged. Drop in's are welcome Wednesdays between 10 and 1.  Ground Floor, Aras Uí Chathail, Room G007, Access/Mature Office.

    Tuesday September 10th - Coffee Morning, An Bialann 8.30am to 10.30am
    Drop by for Coffee and chat.

    Tuesday September 17th - Information stand, Smokies Café 10am to 12pm.
    If you have questions or concerns just drop by and chat.

    Tuesday September 24th - Get Moving Week. Walk from Kingfisher to Dangan and back. Leaving Kingfisher at 1.10.

    Tuesday October 1st - IT Skills drop in day.  12pm to 2pm. General Access Suite - Arts Millennium Building
    Drop by with any academic IT queries you have.

    Tuesday October 8th - As part of Well-Being Week, a talk on how to manage your budget and avoid stress. Talk in the O Donoghue Theatre, room 027 .

The Academic Writing Centre

The Academic Writing Centre based in the James Hardiman Library will provide two special workshops on essay writing.

Places are strictly limited, and early booking is strongly encouraged.

To find out more please email  writingcentrenuigalway.ie stating your name and discipline of study.  A brief description of your expectations or the problems you hope to address would be also particularly helpful.
