McGinty Scholarship for Female Physicians

01 McGinty Scholarship

The McGinty Scholarship empowers female physicians to engage in the NUI Galway MBA programme supporting them on a career path to healthcare-leadership. Physician led healthcare management is proven to have better outcomes for patient care. This Scholarship will see a new cohort of women who will lead improved and impactful outcomes for patients and staff in the healthcare system.  The value of the McGinty scholarship is €9,000 over a two year MBA programme.

The scholarship will be awarded annually to a female medical practitioner with three years postgraduate work experience in medicine.

The successful applicant must demonstrate a clear career pathway towards leadership in the healthcare sector.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this scholarship launch was delayed, therefore all applications for the McGinty Scholarship will be considered.

NUI Galway Foundation MBA Scholarship for Alumni

Galway University Foundation offers two MBA Scholarships for NUI Galway Alumni to cover up to 50% tuition fees for the NUI Galway MBA, commencing September 2020. 

  • The aim of this MBA Scholarship is to award an exceptional NUI Galway graduate who has demonstrated leadership and impact achievements in their career to date. They will be an ambassador for NUI Galway and the School during their studies and after graduation.
  • To be eligible for this scholarship our scholarship form must be submitted by 19th June 2020.

MedTech MBA Scholarship 

NUI Galway offers one MBA Scholarship to cover up to 50% tuition fees for the NUI Galway MBA, commencing September 2020 for a candidate currently working in the MedTech sector. 

  • The aim of this MBA scholarship is to support a candidate who demonstrates the capabilities and ambition to drive impact in the MedTech sector.
  • Outline achievements to date (within the sector), how this scholarship will help you achieve success within the MedTech sector and why you believe you are a good candidate for this scholarship.
  • To be eligible for this scholarship our scholarship form must be submitted by 19th June 2020.

Social Impact MBA Scholarship 

NUI Galway offers one MBA Scholarship to cover up to 50% tuition fees for the NUI Galway MBA, commencing September 2020 for a candidate currently working in the voluntary or public sector, or in a social enterprise capacity. 

  • The aim of this MBA scholarship is to support a candidate who demonstrates the capabilities and ambition to drive impact in the voluntary sector, public sector or in a social enterprise capacity. 
  • Outline achievements to date (within the sector), how this scholarship will help you drive Social Impact and why you believe you are a good candidate for this scholarship.
  • To be eligible for this scholarship our scholarship form must be submitted by 19th June 2020.

Information and Communications Technology MBA Scholarship 

NUI Galway offers one MBA Scholarship to cover up to 50% tuition fees for the NUI Galway MBA, commencing September 2020 for a candidate currently working in the Information and communications technology (ICT) sector. 

  • The aim of this MBA scholarship is to support a candidate who demonstrates the capabilities and ambition to drive impact in the ICT sector.
  • Outline previous achievements to date (within the sector), how this scholarship will help you achieve success within the ICT sector and why you believe you are a good candidate for this scholarship.
  • To be eligible for this scholarship our scholarship form must be submitted by 19th June 2020.

J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics MBA Scholarship

NUI Galway offers one MBA Scholarship to cover up to 50% tuition fees for the NUI Galway MBA, commencing September 2020. This scholarship is available to individuals who aspire to undertake the programme but require financial assistance. To be eligible for this scholarship our scholarship form must be submitted by 19th June 2020.

30% Club MBA Scholarship For Female Leaders 

  • The aim of this scholarship is to rectify the under-representation of women pursuing post-graduate management education by offering scholarships aimed at women.
  • The J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics is looking to identify and support a high calibre candidate who is best placed to match to the 30% Club agenda (https://30percentclub.org). Outline career achievements to date, how this scholarship will help you achieve success and why you believe you are a good candidate for this scholarship.
  • To be eligible for this scholarship our scholarship form must be submitted by 19th June 2020.

Meet Sandra Divilly - 30% Club Scholarship Recipient 2017 and NUI Galway EMBA participant

The J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics at NUI Galway, in collaboration with the 30% Club, is delighted to offer a scholarship for its MBA programme. Globally, the 30% Club is establishing partnerships with a number of business schools to rectify the under-representation of women pursuing post-graduate management education by offering scholarships aimed at women.

2019 - 30% Club Scholarship Recipients

The 30% Club is delighted to announce we had two winners of this MBA Scholarship  for female applicants to cover up to 50% tuition fees for the NUI Galway MBA, commencing September 2019.  Sarah-Jayne MacLaverty and Rosemary Casey were the winners and they are delighted to have this opportunity to study with us here at NUI Galway MBA programme.

2018 Recipients

Following the success of the inaugural 30% Club Scholarship in 2017 for the MBA programme (Masters in Business Administration) programme at NUI Galway, the J.E.
