Locations

We are located in Nun's Island, a few minutes' walk from the main NUI Galway campus, and approximately 10 minutes' walk from Galway city centre and the main rail and coach stations.

Our main office is located on floor 5 of the McLaughlin Building, Nun's Island, off the main university campus. Some staff and laboratories are located in other buildings. Click here for a Google map showing the entrance to our offices.

Transport

A number of domestic and short-haul routes are offered by Aer Arann from Galway airport, about 15 km from the university.

There are regular bus services from the city centre to Shannon and Dublin airports ( Bus Éireann, Citylink, Gobus).

There is also a regular rail link between Galway and Dublin city centres.
