Dr Micheal Newell (Lecturer) Dr Newell is a qualified Sports and Exercise Scientist with a Doctorate degree in Integrated Biology. His research interests include injury epidemiology and injury prevention, exercise rehabilitation for cancer, physiological performance and assessment in sports and exercise, as well as  the development of dynamic, creative, and innovative learning strategies for medical education. In addition to lecturing in Medical Education, Dr Newell is the academic co-ordinator of the MIME postgraduate programmes and the postgraduate programmes in Sports and Exercise Medicine/Physiotherapy.
